Tracy Morgan and Walmart have reached a settlement after a dangerous accident wherein Tracy Morgan was seriously injured and comedian James McNair died. The amount of the settlement was not disclosed.
Last year one of Walmart’s drivers was allegedly speeding and had been on the road for 24 hours straight when it collided into the comedians limousine, according to the investigation. The driver, Kevin Roper, “has pleaded not guilty to one count of death by auto and four other counts of assault by auto in the crash.”
Tracy Morgan was in critical condition after the wreck on the New Jersey Turnpike. He suffered from multiple fractures and had several surgeries and a long rehabilitation. Tracy Morgan stated in the written statement, “Walmart did right by me and my family, and for my associates and their families. I am grateful that the case was resolved amicably.”
